Digital Dentistry and Cerec 3D in Taos, NM
The Northern NM Center for Cosmetic Dentistry is consistently finding new ways to improve their techniques in order to benefit their patients. By embracing technology our team can reduce the pain and treatment time for a wide range of dental procedures both general and cosmetic. We always have our patients best interests in mind and we are proud to evolve and adapt to their needs.
Laser technology is a safe, non surgical alternative for treating patients with periodontal disease. The lasers will target and kill bacteria directly in the gums. The laser also decreases sensitivity and minimizes any potential bleeding during treatment.
Non–Metal Crowns, Onlays, & Inlays
Our office utilizes the latest in dental technology, including the Cerec 3D. The Cerec 3D is fully computerized technology offering Impression-free dentistry, which allows us to 3D digital scan your teeth and bite, make adjustments in real time, and transmit your file wirelessly for processing. The scan is performed with a wand and is much more comfortable and accurate than traditional impressions. Your teeth will then be restored with ceramic inlays, onlays, or even crowns, all within a single visit.
We understand that X-Rays are some of the best ways to get an accurate picture of what’s going on with your teeth, and we also understand that X-Rays are a form of radiation, so we seek the safest and most effective use of this technology. Our office uses Orthophos SL Technologies’ computerized dental radiography, a panoramic x-ray covering a wider area than a conventional intra-oral x-ray. As a result, this technology provides valuable information about the nasal area, maxillary sinuses, tooth positioning and gum and bone irregularities. A panoramic x-ray can also reveal the presence of an existing issue or potential problems such as advanced periodontal disease, oral cancer, impacted teeth and TMJ.
